Event description
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new virtual workshop looking at Neurodiversity and burnout. You can attend this workshop free of charge.
The workshop is online via Microsoft Teams, booking is first come first served and places are limited. Importantly, these workshops are only available for parents and carers who are registered with a Lincolnshire GP or reside in Lincolnshire.
It is also important to note, that they do not aim to give a diagnosis for your child.
The sessions are led by a behavioural specialist and will look at the impact on children’s daily behaviours and what practical strategies, adjustments, and techniques you can use at home to support your child.
Duration: 1 hour 10.30-11.30am
Over the past few years and specifically since the Covid pandemic we have seen a significant escalation in extreme burnout in children and young people that are neurodivergent.
Neurodivergent burnout can have a significant impact on an individual’s mental health, which may consequently result in a decrease in independence skills and the ability to engage in everyday activities such as school and personal care.
This workshop will equip attendees with:
· An understanding of the underlying factors that can lead to burnout
· The burnout cycle experienced by many individuals that are neurodivergent
· Causes of extreme burnout
· Warning signs
· Managing recovery and ways to stop burnout from happening.
